Sergey Zheludkov began to learn music at the age of 3. He got elementary musical education in Moscow at A.S. Dargomyzhsky's music school. He continued his education in the M.M. Ippolitov-Ivanov's college at the department of choral conducting and composition, where his main teachers were composer Alexander Flyarkovsky, Stanislav Gusev (artistic director of the Yurlov's State Academic Capella) and composer Efrem Podgaits. At the same time Sergey took lessons from Viktor Popov, the founder, artistic director and chief conductor of the Big Children’s Choir of the National Radio and Central Television and the founder of the Academy of Choral Singing. Graduating from college, he continued his studies at the Moscow State Conservatory at the department of opera and symphony conducting with Gennady Rozhdestvensky and studied composition with Roman Ledenev. He received his second higher education at the Institute of Management and Law with a degree in State and Municipal Administration.

In 2007, Sergey Zheludkov was a participant of the master-class of choral conducting in the project “National Youth Choir of Russian conservatories”. He was awarded the 2nd prize in the IV'th and became the winner of the V'th all-Russian competition of musical and educational programs (2007,2009).

Member of the Union of Composers of Russia, member of Russian Authors' Society , member of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly , member of the International Society for Music Education at UNESCO .

In 2021, Sergei worked as music director of the international project "We are one" . In 2019 he was the musical director of the unique project Concert for art with an orchestra " In 2018, Sergei was the musical director of the world's first large-scale performance of "Concert for a hologram with an orchestra No 1 ”.

In 2017 he worked as art director of cross regional festival-competition "Age is not a limit to the song ". In 2016 he was the art director of the Moscow competition "Duels of choirs ". And in 2014 worked a conductor and director of the gala concert at the closing of the International Festival "Chants of Christendom ". In 2013-2015 he performed as a conductor of Tchaikovsky's “Iolanta”, Rachmaninov's “Aleko”, Rimsky-Korsakov's “The Tsar's Bride”, Mozart's “The Wedding of Figaro” with the Orchestra of the Opera Studio of the Moscow Conservatory

In 2013-2015 he worked as a conductor with the Moscow Conservatory Orchestra on programs including works by Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov, Stravinsky, Beethoven, Brahms, R. Strauss, Rimsky-Korsakov, Sibelius, Lyadov. From 2010 till present time, Sergei has been working together with the First Symphony Orchestra, regularly performing cycles of educational programs from rarely performed works by composers from England, Austria, Germany, Scandinavia, France, Italy, North and South America, Russia, as well as concert performances of opera performing compositions by contemporary composers and classical programs

In 2009-2011he conducted with the Orchestra of the Institute of Ippolitov-Ivanov Mozart's operas “Apollo and Hyacinth”, “Don Giovanni” and “The Marriage of Figaro”, Rachmaninov's “Aleko”. In 2008-2009 he was working with the Chamber Choir of the Institute of Ippolitov-Ivanov on such works as “Requiem” and “Four Sacred Chants” by Verdi, “Requiem” by Mozart, “Deutsches Requiem” by Brahms, Carmina Burana Orff, Messa di Gloria Puccini, Te Deum Bruckner, Beethoven's 9th Symphony, Shostakovich's 13th Symphony, Bells Spring ”by Rachmaninov,“ John Damaskin ”by Taneev,“ Kursk Songs ”and“ The Bright Guest ”by Sviridov, Requiem by Karamanov (Premiere in Russia),“ Hallelujah ”by Podgaits (Premiere in Russia)

Sergey Zheludkov is the author of musical articles, studies and manuals. His orchestral transcriptionsof vocal and chamber music by Rachmaninov , Tchaikovsky , Mussorgsky, Borodin, Rimsky-Korsakov, as well as anthologies of church chants for a male choirhave become widely known in both Russia and abroad.

Sergey Zheludkov's music included in the repertoire of world-famous bands and musicians, is often performed in the world best concert halls, presented at festivals and competitions, included in the curriculas of leading Russian higher music institutions.

In 2014, upon the invitation of the rector of the Academy of Arts and Innovation, Sergey headed the Department of classical music. Along with teaching activities he regularly gives master-classes, participates in the jury of competitions.
